What I liked about the play was that it was creative and fun to watch and they were many enjoyable scenes that both I and the audience enjoyed. For example one of my favourite scenes was when puss and her master was in the woods looking for a rabbit for the princess and the rabbits kept running around and away from them, I like this scene because it was creative and this was when the rabbits were in the remote control cars driving around.
I liked this scene because it was smart and resourceful they used the remote control cars to show the rabbits running around, this was a brilliant idea and shows how the cast and crew members were innovative and was able to adapt their scene and do what they can and made the best of it.
Also another part of the play I enjoyed was the jokes that they made, some were funny and some weren't but that made it more fun for the audience to watch. As the play was a pantomime the parts were the actors included the audience made me more engage with play for examples when the two characters came on and did the special chant and rely on the audience to say the ending part. I think that is quite smart because not only was it enjoyable to watch it also kept the audience engage in the play.
In the pantomime they used many great drama techniques to make sure the play was the best it could be for example voice was very important as they were singing and etc, with voice being an essential skills an actor needs to learn to control and master because with voice the actors needs to think about tone if it sounds hard or soft and is it appropriate, volume to speak loudness so that everyone in the audience can hear you, pitch does the character speak with a high or low pitch, pace how quickly the character speaks this is important because if the pace is too fast the audience wont understand what your lines are and if its too slow they can easily get bored ,clarity is also important in this case because if no one can understand what your saying what is the purpose of you speaking and accent if your character has an accent are you able to keep it through the play and always remember to use it.
Another great drama skills they used and is great for pantomime is gestures and body language, this is very important because they can say a lot about the play and scene for example in the first scene where puss was on the floor and her master was standing up this showed dominance between the character and that the master was higher and the audience noticed this because they actors used levels to portray it. Gestures are also important because when used right they can convey a mood or question the audience and actors without saying anything and for example in puss in boots when the prince was hugging the princess because she was scared, this showed the audience that that he really cared about her and wanted to protect her and the audience can tell all of this through the actors gestures and body language.
In conclusion I think the performance was great and I enjoyed it they use a range of techniques and other drama skills to make their performance really stand out and the best it could be.
