What I have learn this since starting college
Throughout
my time in college so far I have learnt many skills. One main skill that has developed for me is my
voice work because I have a deep voice sometimes when I speak it becomes unclear
and the audience struggle to hear me so I really worked on improving the
projection of my voice so I’m able to throw my voice so that the audience can
hear it. I also worked on articulation when performing because that was one of
my improving that kept coming up when I performed and how I went about doing
this was the fact the in class we did many voice exercise with Rob such as
tongue twisters and working on our constants sounds, all these voice work
helped my improve my voice and was able to use it to my full potential.
Another
skills I have developed since starting college is my analytical skills, my
ability to analyse a script in detailed and look at it from my different angel
and different from perception this skill has been very useful as we do a lot of
script work and we need to be able to work what what’s happening in the scene
and how our character acts in the scene. I developed this skills by having discussions
with Rob and my class mate about the script
and hearing what people thought it was about or knows about it and from then we
would worked as a team to go into more detail with the script. This also helped
me with my interpretation of doing different plays because seeing how other
people do it or how they think the scene should take place gives me more insight
and information about the play and makes me able to portray the scene in the
style and way also by taking everyone ideas and opinion in mind we can then developed
them to make the scene as realistic as possible.
During this
course I also improved my skills with working with everyone because we would
always have different groups when performing and Rob makes sure that everyone
works with someone new that they haven’t worked with before. This is great
because it helps us becoming stronger as a group and improves our communication
skills between each other, also it can improve the chemistry between each other
to make our performances more powerful.
I have also developed
my observational skills because we always watch each other performances and
gives feedback to help each other improve their work to become a better actor
or actress. Observational skills is a great skills to work on and I’m glad I have
developed and want to keep improving it because when watch other people
performance you can learn something from them, it could be something that you never
know or it could be something about them or about yourself that will help you improve
your skills to becoming a better actor and a good audience.
